As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for providing top-quality care to critically ill or high-risk patients in our Intensive Care Unit.
This position requires a profound understanding of both nursing and medical procedures, as well as the ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies with grace and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
1.
Provide direct care to patients in the ICU, including physical support, administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and responding to changes in patient's condition.
2.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
3.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and teach appropriate disease management techniques.
4.
Maintain patient records, documenting all necessary information including assessment, treatment, and progress.
5.
Ensure the ICU remains clean and free of hazards to patient safety.
6.
Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and ICU operations.
7.
Act as a patient advocate, upholding patient rights and confidentiality.
8.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families in times of stress or crisis.
Qualifications:
1.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a focus on ICU or Acute Care.
3.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
4.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
5.
Strong understanding of patient care, patient education, and Intensive Care Unit operations.
6.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex health issues in simple terms.
7.
Ability to work in a high-stress environment, make quick decisions, and handle emergencies effectively.
8.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a strong dedication to patient care and privacy.
9.
Willingness to continue learning and improving nursing skills.
