ITEM: Antique/vintage 4 string banjo with Waverly tailpiece and original canvas covered carrying case. Banjo has (2) metal sound/mounting rings, 17 frets, 16 tuning pegs on the head and what looks like a walnut fretboard over maple neck. Unsure of the actual age or maker. Estate fresh and was in the family for many generations, according to the family. SIZE: Approximately 30.5" long x 11" across x 2.25" thick. Banjo weighs approximately 3 lb, with case it is 5 lbs before packaging CONDITION: Selling as-is to restore or repair. Neck appears straight, no cracks or breaks that I can see. Tuning pegs turn with no chips or cracks. Antique wear, as pictured. Original canvas case is solid and has wear, staining and is missing the leather handle.
